Summary Petitioner has filed a case against freezing of his assets and declaring him absconder

LAHORE: (Muhammad Ashfaq) - The Lahore High Court has fixed the hearing in a case pertaining to the freezing of assets of Moonis Elahi and declaring him absconder for Monday (today).

Lahore High Court Chief Justice Aalia Neelum has formed a special bench for the case of Moonis Elahi.

A two-member bench comprising Justice Ali Zia Bajwa and Justice Tariq Nadeem will hear the petition today at 10am.

Qaisra Elahi filed the petition on behalf of her son Moonis Elahi. Earlier, Justice Syed Shahbaz Ali Rizvi had excused himself from hearing of Moonis Elahi's case.

The petitioner argued that her son was living abroad and baseless cases were made against him.

A petition was filed in the NAB court against the freezing of his properties, which was rejected, the petitioner contended.

The petitioner requested the court to set aside the decision of freezing Moonis Elahi's assets and declaring him absconder.
